The Bishop Arts Theater Center (BATC) Presents Marc Antoine, Brian Simpson & Tom Braxton on Saturday, May 8. The three performers continue the 2010 Jazz Series with two shows - 7 and 9:45 pm.

Marc Antoine's career boasts many #1 hits on the R&R contemporary jazz charts, as well as topping the Billboard charts. In 1995, R&R elected him Best New Artist of The Year, which was followed by his Gavin Award in 1998. He has also received numerous nominations for jazz awards in the US and Canada. Regularly touring with contemporary jazz artists like Dave Koz, Chris Botti, Jeff Lorber, Jeffrey Osborne, David Benoit, Larry Carlton and others, he also performs or records with Jazz Legends such as Peter Erskine, Jimmy Haslip, Mike Mainieri, Dave Valentin, Christian McBride, and Mark Egan to name a few. Marc was honoured when George Benson mentioned him as one of his favorite guitarists.

Brian Simpson has always been a working jazz musician. He has toured with some of the greats of recent jazz history, including George Duke, Stanley Clarke, Larry Carlton, George Howard, Billy Cobham, and Gerald Albright. Along with Mr. Duke, Brian has had another major influence, both on and off the stage. Brian has been the musical director for jazz saxophonist Dave Koz for the past 10 years, and most recently, musical director for the "Dave Koz and Friends Cuise" as well as the "Smooth Jazz Cruise" hosted by Wayman Tisdale.

Saxophonist and composer Tom Braxton understands his purpose on earth is to create music that touches our hearts. That's why Jazz Review calls Braxton, "...one of smooth jazz's most prolific saxophonists...with all the required tools to become a major force." A seasoned performer, who knows how to charm audiences of all ages, Braxton has his own distinctive and recognizable sound which incorporates elements of Jazz, Latin, Funk and R&B.

Bishop Arts Center is located at 215 South Tyler Street, Dallas, TX. Complimentary cocktails all night long. Hosted by Cameron Smith of Smooth Jazz Now. Get your tickets at www.tecotheater.org or call 214-948-0716.
