Amphibian Stage Productions is pleased to announce the inaugural performance of Tad-Poles at the Botanical Research Institute of Texas. This free performance, featuring children from Everman ISD, will be open to the public on Saturday, November 19, 2011 at 10:30am.

About Tad-Poles
Tad-Poles (previously Jumbies, Fort Worth!) is Amphibian's outreach program of performance, dance, theatre, music, art, history, geography and workshops.

Tad-Poles continues the Jumbies' tradition of a threefold focus to:

· Foster cultural pride and encourage cultural tolerance and collaboration.
· Give children in underserved communities the opportunity to experience the arts free of charge.
· Encourage good health through joyful physical activity.

Daniel Jáquez, former artistic director and choreographer of Calpulli Mexican Dance Theatre, will choreograph this new program. Performances and workshops will be conducted by Monica Arriaga (dance) and Sinuhé Padilla-Isunza (music).

This year, children from Everman ISD return to the program to dance and create music with Daniel Jáquez, Monica Arriaga, and Sinuhé Padilla-Isunza in a celebration of community, arts, and multiculturalism.

Tad-Poles will be presented on Saturday, November 19 at 10:30am at the Botanical Research Institute of Texas in Fort Worth. Admittance is free and open to the public. For more information, call 817-923-3012, visit www.amphibianproductions.org, or write to boxoffice@amphibianproductions.org. The Botanical Research Institute of Texas is located at 1700 University Drive, Fort Worth, TX 76107.

About Amphibian Stage Productions
Amphibian Stage Productions is a non-profit theatre company founded in 2000 by three alumni of TCU's Department of Theatre who strive to produce innovative and engaging works of theatre that challenge the way we see the world around us. Now in its eleventh season, Amphibian has produced numerous groundbreaking and challenging plays (some regional premieres, others US or world premieres) that foster a deeper understanding of ourselves as members of the global community. The company is widely recognized for its stylistically and thematically varied scripts.
Committed to nurturing young and diverse audiences, Amphibian has developed a strong internship program, a summer acting workshop for teens, and a dynamic outreach project, Tad-Poles, that is steadily increasing the company's visibility and following.

In addition, actors visit schools to lead acting workshops and talkback sessions with students. The company actively reaches out to young people and strives to foster a new generation of audience members by offering students very low cost or free tickets to all performances.

Amphibian is generously funded by the National Endowment for the Arts, Texas Commission on the Arts, the Arts Council of Fort Worth and Tarrant County, Ann L. & Carol Green Rhodes Charitable Trust, Amon G. Carter Foundation, Alcon Foundation, the Nell V. Bailey Charitable Trust, Wells Fargo Bank, Mrs. Betty J. Sanders, The Rug Company, Out of Nowhere Website Design, Bates Container, Pier 1 Imports, and the Devonian Society, a group of Amphibian's devoted donors who are proud to be the force behind nurturing the next generation of artists and audiences.
