The Rose Center Theater is proud to present the hit Broadway musical Something Rotten! running June 27 through July 20, 2025, in Westminster, California.

Set in the year 1595, Something Rotten! follows the Bottom brothers, Nick and Nigel, two playwrights desperate to compete with rockstar Renaissance writer William Shakespeare. When a soothsayer predicts that the future of theater involves singing, dancing, and acting—all at the same time—the brothers set out to write the world’s very first musical. What follows is a hilarious, high-energy mash-up of musical parody, Shakespearean satire, and showbiz spectacle.

From the creative minds of John O'Farrell, Karey Kirkpatrick, and Wayne Kirkpatrick, and with 10 Tony Award nominations including Best Musical, Something Rotten! is a hilarious love letter to Broadway that has delighted audiences across the globe.

This production is directed and choreographed by Rose Center Theater’s Artistic Director Tim Nelson, and features a cast of Orange County’s finest local talent, stunning costumes, and full-scale musical numbers that will leave audiences laughing and applauding from start to finish.
