Love Notes is a new work by Hershey Felder set in Dusseldorf, Germany in 1853, exploring the relationship between composers Johannes Brahms, Robert Schumann, and Schumann's wife, Clara. Felder plays Johannes Brahms, Sally George plays Clara Schumann, and Jonathan Silvestri plays Robert Schumann. The story follows the young Brahms as he enters the orbit of the Schumanns, witnesses Robert's descent into madness, and falls deeply in love with Clara while remaining by her side. The production features music that emerged from this passionate and complex relationship.
