Fairfield Center Stage presents The Wedding Singer, based on the hit Adam Sandler film, at Wakeman Hall inside First Church Congregational of Fairfield, running May 8–17, 2026. Set in 1985, the musical follows Robbie Hart, New Jersey's favorite wedding singer, whose world falls apart when his fiancée leaves him at the altar — until he meets Julia, a waitress he falls for who is engaged to someone else. Nick Kuell and Kaylin Cardozo lead the cast as Robbie and Julia, joined by Marcelo Calderon, Kelsey Kaminski, Brian Crook, Chidi Nkwo, Alexis Willoughby, Marilyn Olsen, and Niki Weber, among a cast of 42 local performers accompanied by a live onstage band. The production is directed by Christy McIntosh-Newsom, with choreography by Bonnie Gregson and music direction by Ken Legum.
