The Filing Cabinet is a gallery exhibition featuring works by Miller Opie, Paul Wylenczek, Lauren Be Dear, Logan Ray Bishop, and Paco Winebox, curated by Peter Albano. The exhibition is presented in conjunction with TheaterWorks Hartford's world premiere production of The Cannibals of McGower County. The works frame Hartford, Connecticut as a companion setting for the Southern Gothic tradition, exploring themes of decaying grandeur, morally compromised characters, and the suffocating weight of family history. An opening reception with the artists is held on Wednesday, August 5 from 6:30 to 7:30pm, with free admission to the gallery.
