Tom Hanks joins Wendie Malick and Tony Shalhoub for Westport Country Playhouse's 100th Script in Hand playreading, featuring the new work Portrait of a Woman in Repose by Nicky Glossman, directed by James Glossman. Set in restoration France in 1818, the play follows Madame Anne Dulac, newly returned from exile, as she works with Jean Howlitz, a former painter with a complicated past, and Roderick Calley, who manages her affairs. As an art restoration unfolds, all three reckon with the past and the new world they have survived. The event is sold out.
