The Capitol Steps to MOCK THE VOTE at Palace Theater, 4/7

By:
In perfect timing with the political headlines of the 2016 Presidential Race, Washington D.C.'s infamously funny comedy troupe The Capitol Steps brings an all-new stage show based on their album "Mock the Vote" to the Palace Theater in Waterbury on Thursday, April 7, at 7:30p.m. Tickets for the politically charged comedy extravaganza, which is presented in part with WSHU Public Radio, range in price from $30 to $48 and can be purchased online at www.palacetheaterct.org, by phone at 203-346-2000, or in person at the Box Office, 100 East Main St. in Waterbury.

Beginning in 1981 as a group of Senate Staffers, The Capitol Steps have been a Washington, DC institution for over 30 years with appearances on "The Today Show," "Nightline," "CBS Evening News" and numerous specials for National Public Radio. Each of the troupe's performances feature a unique blend of musical and political comedy and tasteful lampooning that is guaranteed to leave both sides of the political spectrum laughing in their seats.

Known as the group that puts the "mock" in "democracy," the comedy troupe's show is constantly changing, strenuously bi-partisan, and includes songs about everything in the news, including "How Do You Solve a Problem Like Crimea," "It's My Party and I'll Lie If I Want To," Ain't No Pipeline, Now It's Gone," and "Fiscal Shades of Gray." For anyone who has ever wanted to see Barack Obama sing a show tune, Nancy Pelosi sing a rock song, or New Jersey Governor Chris Christie do a classical ballet, this show is just for them!
