A musical comedy of love songs and laughter, They're Playing Our Song features a book by Neil Simon, music by Marvin Hamlisch and lyrics by Carole Bayer Sager.

They're Playing Our Song revolves around the working and personal relationship between a neurotic, funny composer and a quirky lyricist. The musical was inspired by the romantic relationship between Hamlisch and lyricist Carole Bayer Sager.

Put a smile on your face and a song in your heart with this witty musical from the award-winning writers behind The Odd Couple, The Sunshine Boys, A Chorus Line and songs such as "The Way We Were" and "Nobody Does it Better".

The production stars Eric William Morris as Vernon and Lauren Marcus as Sonia. Their 'egos' are played by Phil Colgan, Garrett Hill, Jane Kivnick, Emily Neuberger, Jake Satterfield and Kaylee Verble.
The design team includes Erik Diaz (Sets), Michelle Humphrey (Costumes), Chris Dallos (Lights), Brad Berridge (Sound). Thomas J. Coppola is production stage manager.

The Broadway production of They're Playing Our Song opened February 11, 1979 at the Imperial Theater, where it ran 1,082 performances. Directed by RoBert Moore, the show starred Lucie Arnaz and Robert Klein.

TriArts Sharon Playhouse is theatre by and for everyone. It is a "teaching theatre" (like a "teaching hospital") designed to further the growth of artists, both onstage and offstage. Novice actors of all ages are trained and mentored, experienced actors find opportunities to enhance their careers and emerging writers showcase their work. It is a professional theatre -- producing quality musicals with Broadway caliber talent. It is a place where musical theatre is celebrated and tomorrow's generation of actors and audiences is born.
