Shakespeare on the Sound Sets New Ticket Policy; Cast Announced for HAMLET!
In its 21st season, Shakespeare on the Sound introduces a new ticketing policy for it's upcoming production of Hamlet.
As in years past, admission is FREE with a suggested donation of $20 for adults, $10 for students and seniors on the Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday night performances. On Friday, Saturday and Sunday performances required tickets will need to be purchased. Ticket prices are also $20 for adults and $10 for seniors and students.

"Since average donations at the gate in the past have been under $8 per person our decision to charge admission for certain performances enables us to sustain the artistic quality of our plays and continue to provide educational programs to schools, community centers, and libraries" said a spokesperson for Shakespeare on the Sound.
Reserved seating is still available for $50 at every performance and as always children 12 and under are FREE.
Director, Claire Kelly explained that "setting the production in the early 1950s, the period after World War II, reflects on a macro level the fragile and dangerous world in which Hamlet lives."
"It was a time of rebuilding of families and countries. People were still dealing with great loss while trying to move on and find hope. On the surface life seemed to be moving forward but there was an undercurrent of uncertainty and fear that the new beginnings could be torn away."
The cast includes Bonnie Antosh, Justin Cunningham, Wynn Harmon, James Hesse, Simone Moore, John Pasha, Haley Robinson, Alexander Shaw, Scott Watson and Joey Santia as Hamlet.
The production will feature scenic design by Brian Prather, costume design by Grier Coleman, lighting design by Jamie Roderick, sound design by Jeremy Oleksa, fight direction by Rod Kinter, choreography by Paulette Lewis and vocal coaching by Dianna Schoenborn. Maia Robbins-Zust is the technical director and production stage manager is Edward Herman. This year the production is being produced in association with 22Q Entertainment--Robert Levinstein and Alan Wager.
Every night at 6:30 p.m., one hour in advance of the main stage production, there is a special 30 minute HAMLET FOR KIDS presentation for children performed by the theater's Apprentice Company.
Shakespeare on the Sound's Production of Hamlet begins performances June 16 and continues for ONLY 16 performances thru July 3. The production runs Tuesdays through Sundays. The box office in the park opens at 3:30 p.m. and the park opens at 4 p.m.
