Linda Eder Comes to Warner Theatre Center for Arts Education, 4/20
By: Kelsey Denette
On Saturday, April 20 from 11:30 am-1pm, the Warner Theatre Center for Arts Education will present a Master Class with one of America's most beloved singers and award-winning Broadway star, Linda Eder.
One of the greatest contemporary voices of our time, Linda Eder's diverse repertoire spans Broadway, standards, pop, country and jazz. As the tragic character "Lucy" in the Broadway musical Jekyll & Hyde from composer Frank Wildhorn, Ms. Eder secured her place as a Broadway favorite. Heralded as America's acclaimed new interpreter of pop standards and theatrical songs with 14 solo albums and 12 musical recordings, Ms. Eder's voice remains the gold standard of multiple musical genres. As Stephen Holden of The New York Times once wrote, "What do we mean when we use the word perfection? The question arises every time I watch the pop singer Linda Eder..." Most recently, Ms. Eder crowned her two-decade recording career with a new album,Now, which reunited Eder with Broadway and pop composer Frank Wildhorn. This new release marks the musical return of this legendary team after six years.
