The CSO Presents THE RITE OF SPRING
February 18, 2020 CSO Music Director Rossen Milanov and the musicians of the Columbus Symphony will perform three works that will set the mind ablaze. Sinfonia (for Orbiting Spheres) is a work from Missy Mazzoli, composer in residence with the Chicago Symphony and one of classical music's fastest-rising composing talents. Octavio Vásquez's Widows of the Living and the Dead will feature the magnetic stage presence of virtuoso Galician bagpiper Cristina Pato. The program concludes with the revolutionary ballet that caused riots at its Paris premiere in 1913, The Rite of Spring.
