Music Director Rossen Milanov leads the Columbus Symphony and Chorus in a free outdoor concert celebrating America's 250th birthday as part of America250-Ohio's Signature Homecoming & Picnic. The program includes works by John Williams, Joan Tower, and James Beckel, with Beckel's Liberty For All narrated by former Ohio Supreme Court Justice Yvette McGee Brown. Broadway star and two-time Grammy winner Tamika Lawrence performs popular songs and showtunes, including selections from Les Misérables. The evening concludes with a fireworks display accompanied by Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture and Sousa's Stars and Stripes Forever.
