Dear Evan Hansen, presented in collaboration with Oberlin College & Conservatory Music Theater Program, features book by Steven Levenson and music and lyrics by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, directed by Victoria Bussert with musical direction by Matthew Webb and choreography by Lauren Marousek. Nominated for nine Tony Awards, this musical follows Evan Hansen, a misunderstood high school student who becomes caught in a web of lies born from good intentions, with his story unexpectedly resonating with an entire community. The show explores themes of connection, identity, and the longing to belong, set against the pressures of growing up in a hyperconnected world.
