“Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella: Youth Edition” contains all the characters and songs from the original TV broadcast with a plot that has been slightly altered to highlight some important lessons for contemporary audiences. Follow Cinderella as she hopes that impossible dreams do come true.

Allison Agee

Queen/Godmother Understudy
Allison is delighted to staring in her first production within OHYES in Cinderella! Other productions she has been in is Newsies Jr. with NDPAA as Darcy/Bunsen and Frozen Jr. at JMMS as Bulda. This upcoming school year, Allison will be an incoming sophomore at Jackson School of the Arts. When not in rehearsal, she spends her time drawing, baking, running, and dancing. She would like to thank her parents, friends, and cast mates for all their support and love!


Brooke Bacik

Studious Sister/Never Danced Maiden
Brooke Bacik is thrilled to be in the cast of Cinderella! Brooke is going into her freshman year at highland high school and is passionate about theater/acting and has so much fun on stage performing and singing. Out of theater she does cheer, tennis, and art. This may be her third musical and first with Ohyes, but she’s had an amazing time getting to know everyone and is determined to go on and do so many other projects! Thank you to the directors and to her vocal coach Kimberly States who has helped her get into singing more and more. I appreciate everything and Thank you for this opportunity. :)


Colin Becker

Father/King Understudy
Colin Becker is a sixth grader at St. Francis Xavier School in Medina. He is excited to be in this production of Cinderella! He has previously performed in two musicals: Brecksville Theatre’s Rudolph Jr. (Hermey) and Frozen Kids (Kristoff). When not performing, Colin enjoys playing piano and drums, participating in his school’s band, cross country, basketball, baseball, tennis, playing with Legos, and coding.


Kate Becker

Dessert Chef, Portia Understudy
Kate Becker is a freshman at Padua Franciscan High School. She is very excited to be in this production of Cinderella! Last year, she performed as Mrs. Donner in Brecksville Theatre’s Rudolph Jr. and Pabbie in The Brecksville Theatre Summer Camp production of Frozen Kids. She is excited to be back with Ohio Youth Ensemble Stage, having performed with them in many shows including Annie Jr. (Tessie), Super Happy Awesome News (Joey), The Show Must Go Online (Cast member), and Frozen Jr. (Young Anna). When she’s not performing, Kate enjoys basketball, tennis, cross country, track, and playing her guitar. Kate would like to thank her family and friends for always supporting her love of musical theater and for tolerating her constant singing. Enjoy the show!!


Maeve Becker

Little Girl
Maeve Becker is a third grader at St. Francis Xavier School in Medina. She is very excited to be in this production of Cinderella. Last summer, she was part of the ensemble in Frozen Kids with the Brecksville Theatre Summer Camp. She also performed as Molly in the Ohio Youth Ensemble Stage’s production of Annie. When not performing, Maeve enjoys reading, tennis, basketball, and playing cello.


Alyssa Bergman

Cheese Stewardess
Alyssa has appeared in many theatre productions. You may have seen her in Clue, Steel Magnolias, Mamma Mia, or Frozen to name just a few. In her free time she enjoys playing tennis and rugby and being a SHUDDLE teacher. She is thrilled to be included in this production.


McKayla Bergman

Chef/Pushy maiden
McKayla Bergman has been in many theater productions. You may have seen her in Frozen, Jungle Book, and Oz, to name just a few. McKayla's lived in Medina County her whole life. In her free time she plays volleyball and does voice lessons at KS Vocal Studio. She's excited to be in this production.


Eva Buran

Grandma/Staring Maiden
Eva is thrilled to join the cast for OHYES’ performance of Cinderella as one of the maidens. She made her acting debut in the Medina Show Biz performance of Miracle on 34th Street in December of 2022 playing an “elf”. Eva has previously participated in and throughly enjoyed Weathervane’s Theater Classes for introduction to acting and musical theater. She has a special interest in vocal performances and musicals Eva is a spirited fourth grade student at Sharon Elementary and enjoys other extracurricular activities such as cheerleading, Girl Scouts, and swimming.


Ellasyn Ciccozzi

Fabric Girl/Flag Girl
Ellasyn is thrilled to be cast in the OHYES Production of Cinderella. Past theater credits include, Seussical the Musical, and Shrek, Jr. Aside from theater, Ellasyn has studied dance since the age of two and has been cast in several professional ballet productions, including The Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, and Beauty and the Beast. Ellasyn is an honor student at Brunswick High School and is a proud member of the BHS Color Guard. Many thanks to Mr. Valentine and Ms. Kimberly for their constant guidance, encouragement, and expertise. Also, a special shoutout to her family for their unwavering support!


Sawyer Crum

Kid Sister/ Overenthusiastic Maiden/ Ensemble
This is Sawyer's second performance with OHYES with The Wizard of Oz from last summer being her debut as the Coroner and a Citizen of Oz. Due to Covid and illnesses cancelling previous shows from the years prior, Sawyer is happy to find a home with OHYES. Sawyer just finished up her 3rd grade year with straight As and including her Honors Math class. Sawyer loves playing Fastpitch Softball and Football as well as singing, dancing and giggling with her best friends. Sawyer plans to be a Robotic Engineer when she grows up while making sure to find a stage to perform on in her spare time.


Lexi Dacek

Lexi Dacek Productions INCLUDE Little Mermaid Jr (BCT) Alana, Jungle Book Jr. (OHYES) Wolf & Elephant, The Little Mermaid (BHS) Angel Fish and Snow White Princess, Willy Wonka (BCT), The Wizard of Oz (OHYES) Glinda, Newsies (BHS) Nun and Newsie, Freaky Friday (BHS) Mrs. Time, Officer, Ms. Luckenbill, and The Addams Family (BHS) Egyptian Princess. Lexi was Background in Netflix’s movie “White Noise.” She was a featured wedding guest in Discovery+ movie “A Christmas Open House”. Lexi is enrolled with KS VOCAL STUDIO. Lexi’s message “NEVER GIVE UP….WHEN ONE DOOR CLOSES, FIND ANOTHER DOOR. Don’t ever let someone’s negative comments keep you in one place too long, YOU HAVE WAY TO MANY OTHER PLACES TO SHINE.


Nevaeh Davis

Fruit seller
Nevaeh is 12 years old and entering the 7th grade at Medina Christian Academy. She has been in numerous productions starting from age 5. Most recently, she had appeared in Annie,the Wizard of Oz, and the Best Christmas Pageant Ever loves the arts in every capacity. When she's not on stage she enjoys singing, drawing, dancing, and creating.


Ellie Erickson

Mean Sister and Shy Maiden
Ellie’s journey into the realm of acting started in 2022 when she joined the esteemed Ohio Youth Ensemble Stage Family for their production of "The Wizard of Oz" youth edition. Ellie’s portrayal of numerous characters (munchkin, crow, winkie, OZ citizen) not only showcased her talent but also ignited an unquenchable love for the stage. Ellie’s experience with "The Wizard of Oz" left a lasting impression, driving her to continue her theatrical pursuit. In 2023, she decided to grace the stage once again, this time as part of the highly anticipated production of "Cinderella." As Ellie eagerly looks ahead to the next chapter in her artistic journey, she will soon step into the halls of Highland High School as a freshman. Keep an eye out for Ellie Erickson, as her talent and passion promise an exciting future in the theater.


Emmy Fairbanks

Cinderella (Thursday and Saturday)
Emmy is beyond excited to be playing the part of Cinderella with OHYES. This is her second year with OHYES, previously playing the Barrister and an Oz Citizen in last year's production of Wizard of Oz. Emmy is no stranger to the stage in her middle school productions. This year, she graced the stage as Nancy, in Oliver, and last year as Taylor McKessie, in High School Musical. Emmy will be entering her freshman year at Highland High School this fall. Her year will begin with their fall production of Footloose. Emmy would like to thank her family and friends for coming out to support her!


Ashley Graczyk

Portia
Ashley is a 16 year old junior at Lakeview high school and is beyond excited to be participating in our production of Cinderella as Potia! You may have seen her in productions such as The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon as Narrator 1, Newsies as Muriel, and she got the opportunity to director a original small show for her school titled “Murder In the Cafe”. Ashley would like to say “Break a leg” to her cast mates and a huge thank you to her parents, friends, voice teacher, Amanda, acting coach Ben, and of course Mr. Valentine, Ms. Kimberly, Nick, and our choreographer, for their constant assistance, hard work, teaching, and the opportunity to be a part of this classic story.


Mirabelle Harper

Footman
Mirabelle Harper has participated in two theater productions through her school prior to Cinderella. She was a cowgirl in Christmas at the Okay Corral, and then Mother Hen in Jack and the Bean "Stock" (a production about mixed-up nursery rhymes). She is excited to play the footman with OHYES and looks forward to joining future theater productions as well!


Jack Martin

King
Jack is a student at Wadsworth middle school and will be in 8th grade this fall. Cinderella will be Jacks 15th show. He has been performing since he was 7yrs old. This is the 3rd show he has performed with OHYES. He would like to thank OHYES for the opportunity to continue doing what he loves! Jack would also like to thank all of his family and friends for their continued support.


Amara Miller

Ensemble
Amara is so excited to be in her first performance with OHYES. She loves acting, singing, and dancing and has been seen in Claggett Middle School’s production of Beauty and the Beast as well as stage crew for Matilda. Amara enjoys running on the Cross Country and Track teams at Claggett and also loves being part of the band program playing the flute. She is an active member of Claggett’s Student Council, and was elected President for the 2023-2024 school year. She wants to thank the people who have helped make this show possible and for her opportunity to be a part of it.


Taryn Miller

Ensemble
Taryn is ecstatic to be a part of the cast of Cinderella! This is her first time performing on a real stage in a full play. She has enjoyed being a part of Heritage Middle School's musical performance of Thwacked and the 5th grade play Fairy Tales Go To Court. She loves the joy that comes with performing on a stage. In her spare time she loves to write plays and stories, sing and dance, and enjoys spending time with her friends and family. She would like to thank her family and everyone who has put time into making Cinderella the amazing show it is!


Emily Neuhauser

Godmother
Emily is 14 years old and starting 9th grade in the fall at Copley High School. This is her 10th production, and her first with OHYES. Recent roles include Jasmine (Aladdin Jr.), Sebastian (The Little Mermaid Jr.), Jane Banks (Mary Poppins) and Beth (Little Women) - all with Phoenix Performing Arts. When she isn't singing and acting, she enjoys reading, tennis and swimming. She is so excited to be part of this production and hopes you enjoy the show!


Nick Peterseim

Prince Christopher
Nick Peterseim is a recent graduate of Brunswick High School, who was active in his school’s theatre program as well as BHS choirs (Madrigals, mixed symphonic, and show choir). He takes vocal lessons with Kimberly States at KS Vocal Studio in Medina. He plays bass guitar in his band Kings of Portsmouth(@kingsofportsmouth), based in Brunswick. He plans on pursuing musical theatre in college next year. He would like to thank his Mom and Dad for the endless support, and he is very honored to be participating in Rogers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella!


Emma Raulie

Butcher and Ensemble
Emma Raulie is 12 years old and attends Root Middle School in Medina. She has been singing and performing in musicals since she was 8 years old. Emma has been in numerous musical productions, including Frozen Jr. as Young Anna, the Wizard of Oz as Nikko, head of the Flying Monkeys, and Weathervane Playhouse’s Elf the Musical. She also trains and performs year-round as a member of KS Vocal Studio. Emma also enjoys being involved in 4H, basketball, and rugby.


Laila Schoenbaechler

First Girlfriend/Horse
Laila Schoenbaechler has appeared in 9 theatre productions. Some of her most memorable roles include Young Elsa in Frozen Jr., and Amanda Thripp in Matilda the Musical. She has danced down Main Street in a Magic Kingdom Parade at Walt Disney World. Laila was a background actress in a short film titled "Lunchbox" directed by Anne Hu. She takes ballet, jazz, tap, and modern dance, piano, gymnastics and voice lessons.


Elena (Laney) Smith

Stepmother
Laney is going into her senior year at Medina High school. She has been involved with theatre since the 6th grade. In middle school, she performed with the drama club all 3 years she attended. In her sophomore year in high school she performed in the musical “The Addams Family” as an ancestor, and was in the tech crew for other drama productions. She performed in Buckeye Community theatre’s production Willy Wonka Jr., and this will be her 4th production with OHYES. The first was “The show must go…Online”, then “Annie Jr.” and last year “The Wizard of OZ.” She is so thrilled to be the Stepmother in this year’s production of Cinderella.


Natalie Spence

Herald
Natalie Spence is going into the sixth grade at Medina Public Schools. She has performed in multiple years of Cleveland Performing Arts' production of Tetelestai and performed as Susan in Medina Show Biz's production of Miracle on 34th Street. She is excited to be performing with Director Valentine, Music Director States and the entire cast of Cinderella. When not on stage, Natalie enjoys crocheting, volleyball, video games and painting/drawing.


Amelia Talbert

Ensemble/Coachman/Clumsy Maiden
Amelia has been in 6 plays with Ansley Valentine, which are Jungle Book, Frozen, The Show Must Go Online, Annie, Wizard of Oz, and Cinderella. Amelia is good at Acting, Gymnastics, and dancing. Amelia took gymnastics at Medina Gymnastics Academy for 9 years and was on the Medina High School Gymnastics Team for a season. Amelia is currently doing Modern dance at Medina Centre For Dance Art. Amelia will be a Senior in the Teaching Professions Program at the Medina County Career Center in the fall. In the future, Amelia is planning on attending college and taking a dual major of Early Childhood Education k-5 and Intervention Specialist and also minoring in American Sign Language.


Adriana Thomas

Joy
Adriana is a sophomore at Brunswick High School. She is involved in the choir department as well as the theater department. She also enjoys singing and playing piano, ukulele and guitar. This will be her 9th show. Some of her favorite roles include Dragon in Shrek and Sarabi in Lion King. She would like to thank her friends, family and her vocal teacher Miss Kimberly for always supporting her.


Sadie Valentine

Ensemble, Horse
Sadie is 10 years old, headed into 5th grade at Granger Elementary. This is her first musical, and it has been very fun experience for her! She has always loved to sing and joined KS Vocal Studio this past year. Her passion for singing has continued to blossom, and she looks forward to more performances in the future. Sadie is involved in several other activities including piano lessons, cheerleading, and girls scouts. Hanging out and making movies with her friends is how she likes to spend her free time. She loves her family, and spends a lot of time with her 2 younger brothers, cousins, and grandparents. We can’t forget to include one of her favorite family members- her “hairy sister” Ridley the boxer dog! She hopes everyone has a an amazing time doing this musical- Goodluck, have fun!!


Evelyn VanBlarcum

Daughter
Evie is excited to take the stage for her second show with Ohio Youth Ensemble Stage, after performing in the ensemble as a Munchkin, Oz Citizen and Jitterbug in The Wizard of Oz in 2022. Outside the theater, she has danced for over eight years- competitively for the last five with Elite Dance Academy- earning several awards both individiually and with her team. She also currently studies piano. Evie will be a 5th grader at Garfield Elementary in Medina this fall, where she participates in Science Olympiad, Safety Patrol and her school talent show.


Nicki Vorell

Mother
Nicki Vorell is on her way to perform in her first ever musical production, playing the ensemble role of “Mother” in Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella. Having been praised for her over-the-top acting abilities and presence on stage by her peers and drama teacher, she is ready to take the next step into her theater career. Nicki is currently an upcoming junior at Buckeye High School, and will be attending Medina County Career Center for the 2023-2024 year. With only 2 years of high school drama classes behind her, Nicki is excited to perform onstage for the first time, and is extremely grateful to have been a part of such a great cast.


Norah Woofter

Horse/ensemble
Norah Woofter is going into 8th grade at Buckeye Jr High School. Norah is exited to be in Cinderella and to perform with Oh Yes for the first time. Norah has done several musical productions at Medina showbiz including Wind in the Willows, Christmas Story, and her most recent show Miracle on 34th St. When she is not on stage Norah enjoys playing rugby, playing the trombone and baritone, exploring the outdoors, and taking care of her 120 farm animals. Norah would like to thank her parents for driving her to and from rehearsal, Kristen Raulie for letting her sleep over all the time, and Pepsi for always being superior to Coke.


Isaac Woofter

Ball Guest/Horse
Isaac Woofter truly thrives in the theater and has performed in >25 productions with some of his favorites being Oliver, Wind in the Willows and Newsies. Beyond being on stage, he has also worked/appeared backstage in 8 productions. Isaac is the creator of Medina’s Got Talent and Produces that show annually with Medina County Show Biz. He would like to thank his parents and siblings for helping him reach new opportunities. Have a beautiful day and enjoy the show.


Nic Laurence

Nic Laurence is a sophomore at Ohio Wesleyan University, where he is studying Pre-Professional Zoology and Theatre. Favorite credits include Assistant Stage Manager in Xanadu at OWU, Sound Board Operator in Fill x7 at OWU, and Student Director in Freaky Friday and Buckeye High School. He recently received the Freshman Leadership Award from the Ohio Alpha chapter of Theta Alpha Phi. He's enjoyed working on this production very much, and is grateful to everyone who's given him opportunities to succeed and learn. He hopes you enjoy the show!


Kimberly States

Music Director
Kimberly was born and raised in Medina, Ohio. She received her Bachelor of Music degree from Heidelberg University. She then moved to Boston, Massachusetts, and received her Master of Music degree from the New England Conservatory of Music. Kimberly remained on the East Coast for several years as an opera singer. After several successful performance seasons, Kimberly decided to return home to good old Medina to share her knowledge and love of music with the next generation. Kimberly has had the pleasure of serving on the faculty of Ashland University and the College of Wooster. Kimberly opened KS Vocal Studio in 2017 and now teaches over 50 private students at her Medina Square location! Music has always been the center of her life. She is honored to have the privilege of sharing this passion for music with future generation.


Creative Team

Ansley Valentine

Director
Ansley Valentine is a professional director for the theatre and musical theatre and an educator with experience teaching professionally at the collegiate level and in both public and private performing arts high schools. Ansley holds an M.F.A. in Directing from Indiana University and now heads their graduate program in directing. He is currently a proud member of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society (SDC) and Actors' Equity Association (AEA). Some of his favorite productions include Les Misérables, The Mountaintop, Twelfth Night, and many new plays. Ansley is also a graduate of the Arts Midwest Minorities in Arts Administration Fellowship, a program funded by the Ford Foundation to increase minority representation in leadership roles at American not-for-profit organizations. His many awards include a Kennedy Center Gold Medallion. He is a company member at Fonseca Theatre in Indianapolis and Actors’ Reading Collective in the San Francisco Bay Area. His work has been seen at The Cleveland Play House, Indiana Rep, Florida Rep, Phoenix Theatre, and many other theatres around the country.


Kimberly States

Music Director
