This summer, celebrate your love of classic film as the 12th annual Cinema at the Square series returns to PlayhouseSquare August 6-23, 2009. This years series showcases fifteen classic films from the Golden Age of Hollywood to the special-effects laced blockbusters of the 1980's; all for a very "retro" price of just $5 per film.

All films are screened in the Palace Theatre's 20' high x 47' wide Super Hurley-Glo projection screen which is the largest non-Imax screen in Ohio. To further enhance the experience, all films are preceded by the sounds of the mighty Kimball organ, a variety of short films and classic cartoons as well as a fabulous snack bar to make the film all the more delicious.

Individual adult tickets are just $5. Students with valid ID, seniors and children under 12 years old are admitted for $4 per ticket. "Flix Tix", the Cinema at the Square series pass, good for six films of your choice, is available for only $15 (50% off the regular price.) In addition, student and group discounts are available. When the will of Victor Frankenstein, the famous scientist who attempted to reanimate dead bodies, is opened, his grandson, Frederick is given the castle where all the experiments were made. With help from his personal assistant Igor, and an attractive lab assistant Inga, he successfully reanimates a body which soon expires and creates havoc....
