2019-2020 Season Internships - Arkansas Repertory Theatre

LISTING INFORMATION

The Arkansas Repertory Theatre is pleased to offer internships for its upcoming 2019-2020 season. Our internships are ideal for college graduates who are actively pursuing a career in professional theatre. All interns receive weekly compensation plus housing, along with the invaluable experience of working in a professional theatre setting.

ELECTRICS INTERN

Arkansas Repertory Theatre seeks an Electrics Intern for our 2019 season. Responsibilities include assisting Master Electrician with the hang-and-focus of all shows and respective changeovers; all electrical devices and pyrotechnic effects; oversee the execution of electrical wiring for all show practicals, etc.; duties include equipment maintenance. This position is expected to actively participate in all changeovers for shows. Other responsibilities, such as running crew duties, are assigned by the Production Manager per show basis. College or equivalent experience is required. Ideal start date is Jan 2, 2019. This is an intern position paid minimum wage, plus housing, benefits are available. SOUND INTERN

Arkansas Repertory Theatre seeks a Sound intern for our 2019 season. Responsibilities include assisting the resident Sound Designer/Engineer with the sound requirements for all shows. Duties will include maintenance of sound related equipment and storage spaces. This position is expected to actively participate in all changeovers for shows. Other responsibilities, such as running crew duties, are assigned by the production manager on a per show basis. Positive attitude is essential. College experience or equivalent is required. Ideal start date is Jan. 2, 2019. This is an intern position paid minimum wage, plus housing, benefits are available. PRODUCTION ASSISTANT INTERN

Arkansas Repertory Theatre is seeking two bright, hardworking upcoming stage managers to serve as Production Assistants for our 2019 Season. Our PA's will assist our AEA Stage Managers in the preparation, rehearsing and running of all shows. Other responsibilities will be assigned by the Production Manager. Positive attitude and a good sense of humor are essential. Experience in stage management at college or small theatre level is also necessary. The opportunity to enroll in AEA apprentice program is available. Ideal starting date is Jan. 16, 2019. This is a minimum wage job, plus housing, benefits are available. COSTUME INTERN

Arkansas Repertory Theatre seeks an experienced Costume Intern for its 2019 season. Responsibilities include costume construction and alteration, craft work and wardrobe crew responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be an outgoing self-starter with strong communication and interpersonal skills. Positive attitude is essential. College or equivalent experience is required. Ideal start date is Jan. 2, 2019. This is a minimum wage job, housing is provided. Benefits are available. This position works weekends and evenings.
