If you have ever taken a piano lesson or tried to learn any kind of instrument, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park's '2 Pianos, 4 Hands' will bring back all the nostalgia of those hours spent begrudgingly practicing and praying that you'll magically know how to play those certain cords if you stare at the instrument long enough. Ted Dykstra and Richard Greenblatt's autobiographical play follows their journey with classical piano from their very first piano lessons to their duet concert performance, and everything in between.
Artistic Director Blake Robison announced Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park's 2019-20 season today, which includes plays from Karen Zacarias and Anna Ziegler, a new stage adaptation of a Margaret Atwood novel, a recent Broadway comedy hit and a world premiere from the award-winning, multi-cultural performance ensemble Universes.
Nestled on a hill and commanding a superb view of downtown Cincinnati, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park has been offering audiences the finest in professional theatre for 60 years. Nationally known for its excellence and commitment to new works and as an artistic home for America's best actors, directors and designers, the Playhouse always keeps its primary role at center stage — to serve the Tristate by producing the finest in classic and contemporary works: musicals, dramas, comedies and recent hits. Simply put, the Playhouse strives to celebrate the live theatrical experience in superlative fashion, in a setting that is second to none.
Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park is at 962 Mt Adams Cir, Cincinnati, Ohio.
