Covedale Center for the Performing Arts To Host Free Backstage Tours 4/10

The Covedale Center for the Performing Arts, 4990 Glenway Avenue will be hosting free Backstage Tours on Saturday, April 10, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the theatre. Since 2002, 'the Covedale' has undergone an exciting transformation, from a venerable, 1940's era movie house to one of the regions newest and most popular, landmark live theatres!
World Premiere of DADDY LONG LEGS At Cincinnati Playhouse Concludes 4/10

The Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park will continue its Marx Theatre season with the world premiere of DADDY LONG LEGS by John Caird, the Tony Award-winning co-director of LES MISERABLES and Tony-nominated composer Paul Gordon, the creator of last season's enchanting musical EMMA. This charming and lighthearted new musical began previews at The Playhouse's Robert S. Marx Theatre March 13. The show concludes its run April 10.

MARY POPPINS plays Tuesday through Friday evenings at 8:00 p.m., Saturday at 2:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. and Sunday at 1:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Great seats still available for most performances.

How do the children of Greater Cincinnati see and interpret the world around them? Find out as the Cincinnati Arts Association (CAA) hosts an exhibition of artwork by local students based on the theme 'Identity.' The exhibition will be on display in the Aronoff Center's Fifth Third Bank Theater (7th & Main Streets, downtown Cincinnati) from Saturday, April 17 - Sunday, May 2, 2010. Exhibition hours are Thursdays & Fridays, 3:00 - 7:00 PM and Saturdays & Sundays, 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM. The Student Art Show is free and open to the public.

The Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park will continue its Shelterhouse Theatre season with the world premiere of THE HISTORY OF INVULNERABILITY by David Bar Katz. This remarkable new play about fantasy and reality in the 20th century began previews in The Playhouse's Thompson Shelterhouse Theatre April 3 and continues through May 2. Opening night is set for April 8.

Know Theatre of Cincinnati is pleased to announce a special off-night production of The Eyes of Oedipus, a new adaptation of Oedipus Rex. Know Theatre company member, Alison Vodnoy has created a new adaptation of the classic Greek tale and Darnell Benjamin will be playing Oedipus. Eric Vosmeier, Managing Artistic Director of Know Theatre, will direct the piece. The Eyes of Oedipus will open on Know Theatre's stage on off-nights April 28 and playthrough May 15, 2010.

Angels in America will open with the first of the two part play, Angels in America: Millennium Approaches, on Know Theatre's mainstage April 3 and play through May 8, 2010. The second half of the production, Angels in America: Perestroika, will open April 23 and play through May 8, 2010.
