Jetset Getset is getting set for Goettafest. The Indiana-based, teenage country band has been tapped to open for 19 Recordings/BNA Records artist Casey James at the 13th annual Glier's Goettafest in Newport, Kentucky on Thursday, August 1. The concert will mark James' second appearance in the Greater Cincinnati area.

"We were extremely impressed with Casey's performances during Season 9 of 'American Idol,' so of course we are thrilled to be opening for him," said Kelli Jette, manager of Jetset Getset. "We love the way he combines an 'outlaw' style with being a super-friendly guy. We met him recently in Nashville, and we can't wait to see him again."

James' wide-ranging influences include such artists as Merle Haggard, Vince Gill, ZZ Top, and Bonnie Raitt, with a mix of '70s rock, blues, and outlaw country all helping to shape his style. James toured with Sugarland in early 2011 and began playing his own shows while working on his debut album, which resulted in three singles: "Let's Don't Call It a Night," "Crying on a Suitcase," and "The Good Life."

Meanwhile, Jetset Getset is promoting their album, "Saturday Night" (Playback Records), and was named by the Country Music Association (CMA) among "Who New to Watch in 2013." Comprised of three female singers and five musicians, the group has been compared by some critics to a younger version of the Dixie Chicks. Music Connection Magazine described their style as "sprightly country twang." Music News Nashville wrote that they have the potential to be "country music's next powerhouse female trio."

Glier's Goettafest is the world's largest festival celebrating goetta, a breakfast food consisting of sausage, steel oats and spices made popular by German immigrants in the19th century. The Glier's company is the world's largest producer of goetta.

Glier's Goettafest is scheduled to run August 1-4, 2013, along the river at Newport-on-the-Levee in Newport, Kentucky. Jetset Getset will perform on August 1 at 6:00 p.m., followed by Casey James at 8:00. Other entertainment throughout the four-day celebration will include DV8, Kinsey Rose, 90 Proof Twang, My Girl Friday, Cincy Brass, and many others.
