Jackie Taylor's The Other Cinderella is the most popular production produced by the Black Ensemble Theater. This most celebrated Black fairy tale returns to the stage every two years and this will mark Cinderella's sixteenth triumphant return. We always feature some new surprises while maintaining the characters that you love, the Stepmama who works at the post office, the Fairy Godmama from Jamaica and the Brothers from the hood. Just as in the traditional Cinderella, there is a King, a Queen and a Prince, but in this kingdom, everybody has soul.
