The Diary of Anne Frank is a look into the mind and life of a normal teenage girl who was put through extraordinary circumstances. Anne and her family are forced into hiding while the Nazis take over Europe. Through this retelling, we see what life was like for Anne while being hidden from the world for two years. As WWII marches on, Anne grows and matures, questioning why she is being persecuted. It’s a compelling story that shouldn’t be missed. Recommended for grades 5-12
