The Red Line Jazz Project is a public arts initiative from Mandala South Asian Performing Arts, curated by jazz musician and Mandala Artist-in-Residence Fareed Haque. The project presents free live music performances at and near Chicago Red Line L stations across multiple neighborhoods, blending jazz improvisation with global musical influences. Artists participating in the series include Haque, Butter Chicken Brass Band, Ugochi Nwaogwugwu, Renee C. Baker of AACM, and Luciano Antonio, among others. The five-month series culminates on October 16 with a ticketed performance at the Harris Theater for Music and Dance featuring Haque on guitar.
