Red Line Jazz Project is a public arts initiative from Mandala South Asian Performing Arts, bringing free live music to Chicago's Red Line L stations and surrounding community spaces over five months in 2026. Curated by jazz musician and Mandala Artist-in-Residence Fareed Haque, the performances blend jazz improvisation with global musical influences, reflecting Chicago's musical heritage and its diverse neighborhoods. The September 10 performance takes place at 95th/Dan Ryan Station, with artists including Butter Chicken Brass Band, Ugochi Nwaogwugwu, Renee C. Baker of AACM, and Luciano Antonio among those scheduled throughout the series.
