Get Ready to Groove! The Beverly Arts Center Presents the Uplifting Musical Sensation, "Hairspray"

The Beverly Arts Center is thrilled to announce its upcoming production of the beloved Tony Award-winning musical, Hairspray. Set to ignite the Baffes Theatre stage from June 12th to June 22nd, 2025, this vibrant and heartwarming show will transport audiences to 1962 Baltimore, where big dreams, big hair, and even bigger hearts take center stage.

Hairspray tells the story of quirky, plus-sized teenager Tracy Turnblad, whose ultimate dream is to dance on the popular "Corny Collins Show." When Tracy lands a coveted spot on the program, she becomes an overnight sensation and uses her newfound platform to advocate for racial integration on television. Navigating the challenges posed by the prejudiced network producer Velma and her mean-spirited daughter Amber, Tracy, with the support of teen heartthrob Link, charismatic host Corny Collins, and the soulful Motormouth Maybelle, dances her way into the hearts of the nation and fights for equality for all.

Performances of Hairspray will be held in the Baffes Theatre at the Beverly Arts Center, located at 2407 W 111th St, Chicago, IL 60655, on the following dates and times:
