Returning for its ninth season, FIRST DRAFT showcases nearly completed new works by twelve diverse Chicago-area choreographers. The program serves as a creative springboard, giving choreographers and dancers the opportunity to create and refine new work while offering audiences insight into the artistic process. It has become an important incubator for contemporary dance in Chicago and a platform for discovering emerging choreographic voices.
