The Man Who Came to Dinner is a fast-paced, witty comedy by George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart about a larger-than-life radio personality who arrives as a houseguest, and refuses to leave.
After eccentric celebrity Sheridan Whiteside slips on the ice outside a wealthy Ohio family's home, he is forced to stay and recover. What begins as a temporary inconvenience quickly turns into chaos as Whiteside takes over the household, meddles in everyone's lives, and surrounds himself with an outrageous cast of friends, celebrities, and eccentrics. Full of sharp dialogue, colorful characters, and hilarious hijinks, the play is a classic comedy about what happens when an unexpected guest overstays his welcome.
