"THE OPRAH WINFREY SHOW" TO TAPE A SPECIAL HOUR IN LAS VEGAS
WITH SUPERSTARS CHER AND TINA TURNER

On Saturday, April 26, the "Oprah" show travels to Las Vegas for an unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime visit with legendary superstars Cher and Tina Turner. The episode will tape at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace and feature interviews and exclusive performances as these legends come together to pull out all the stops for a true Vegas spectacular. "The Oprah Winfrey Show: Oprah, Cher and Tina in Vegas" is scheduled to premiere Thursday, May 8, 2008 (check local listings).

Since her debut in 1964, international icon and superstar Cher has sold over 200 million records worldwide as a solo artist and 75 million more as half of the duo Sonny and Cher.  Cher's many career accomplishments in music, television and film include an Academy Award, a Grammy Award, an Emmy Award and three Golden Globe Awards. Cher launches a show-stopping exclusive engagement at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace beginning May 6.

Tina Turner has sold over 100 million records, and with her exceptional live performances, she is without doubt a true rock star. Known for such anthems as "River Deep, Mountain High" and "Nutbush City Limits" with her former partner Ike Turner and for solo hits including "What's Love Got to Do With It?" and "The Best," her many achievements span the fields of music, screen, stage and books.
