KYLE DESANTIS ANNOUNCES THAT MUSICAL HITS OF THE CHICAGOLAND THEATER SEASON WILL PLAY THIS FALL, WINTER AT
DRURY LANE THEATRE WATER TOWER PLACE

Executive Producer of Drury Lane Productions, Kyle DeSantis announced today that Drury Lane Theatre Oakbrook Terrace's productions of the mega hit musicals Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story and Meet Me in St. Louis will be presented at Drury Lane Theatre Water Tower Place, 175 E. Chestnut Street Chicago, IL 60611. The series will be kicked off in September and will feature the hit musical Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story, previewing September 10, opening September 19 and running through November 2, followed in November by Meet Me in St. Louis, previewing November 12, opening November 19 and running through January 4, which both had sold-out runs during the 2007 - 2008 season at Drury Lane Theatre Oakbrook Terrace.

DeSantis is excited to follow the tradition that his grandfather, Anthony DeSantis, started, staging successful productions at multiple Drury Lane locations.  "We are a creative family that has a deep appreciation and passion for the arts", said DeSantis, "Our goal is to support the local arts by producing great musicals that employ local actors, designers and musicians."

The first show of the season, Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story, considered to be the most successful rock 'n' roll musical of all time, chronicles the life of one of America's biggest music icons. Critics and audiences alike have raved about Drury Lane's electric production, starring Justin Berkobien as "Buddy Holly".

Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story is a rock 'n' roll journey through the life of the legendary singer/songwriter Buddy Holly, who shot to stardom in 1957, only to be tragically killed in a plane crash two years later on the day legend says "the music died."  Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story features a score full of over twenty classic toe-tapping tunes from Buddy Holly, the Big Bopper and Ritchie Valens including "Peggy Sue," "That'll Be the Day," "La Bamba" and "Chantilly Lace". From his first recording contract and move to New York to his fatal tour of Midwest America, Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story explains how, in just three short years, he changed the face of popular music forever.

Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story will be followed by the charming musical classic Meet Me in St. Louis. Drury Lane's production of this stage version of the 1944 MGM classic motion picture has been described as "Artful, gorgeous, impressive and superb!"

Travel back to the turn of the century St. Louis, where the World's Fair is coming soon - and so is a world of changes for the Smith family. While older sisters Rose and Esther dream of happily-ever-after with their handsome beaus, the younger girls, Agnes and Tootie, spend their hours dreaming up mischief. When their father announces the family is moving to New York, will all those dreams become one big nightmare?  Featuring show-stopping dance numbers and a treasured score, Meet Me in St. Louis includes the beloved songs "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas," "The Boy Next Door," and "The Trolley Song".

Drury Lane Theatre Water Tower Place features an intimate 549-seat performance space and spacious lobby. Presenting contemporary plays and musicals as well as classics from Broadway and beyond, Drury Lane Theatre Water Tower Place is under the leadership of Producers Kyle DeSantis and Jim Jensen, Artistic Director William Osetek and Artistic Advisor Gary Griffin.
