Few musicals over the past decade have had as personal and emotional an impact as Fun Home, an intimate adaptation of Alison Bechdel’s memoir about her childhood in her family’s funeral home. As Alison becomes more aware of her own identity, she develops a deeper understanding of the struggles her father faced as a man incapable of being truly himself.
