Shakespeare Carolina will present 5 by Tenn, an evening of rarely performed, dynamic one act plays by Tennessee Williams - at Duke Energy Theatre in Sprit Square March 6th-10th @ 8pm. Tickets are available now online at www.carolinatix.org.

Shakespeare Carolina's 5 by Tenn gives area theatre goers a rare opportunity to experience five of Williams' shorter and lesser known, but no less brilliant pieces. Including:

Talk To Me Like The Rain and Let Me Listen (1953) - Directed by Chris O'Neill

An unnamed man and woman's desperate struggle against poverty and other vices in a one room, cold water flat. With Sean Foley and Gayle Taggart.

The Lady of Larkspur Lotion (1941) - Directed by S. Wilson Lee

A delusional woman of questionable morals squares off with her abrasive landlady in what is often regarded as a character sketch for Streetcar Named Desire's Blanche DuBois. With David Hensley, Amanda Liles, and Melissa Steele.

The Strangest Kind of Romance (1942) - Directed by David Loehr

A tender and heartfelt play which explores the relationship between a nervous man and his cat. With Stan Lee, BriAnna Smith, Chris Freeman and Corliss Hayes.

This Property is Condemned (1946) - Directed by Amanda Liles

Describes a chance encounter between two teens by the Railroad tracks in a small Southern town. With Chris Herring and Caryn Crye.

The Case of the Crushed Petunias (1941) - Directed by Brian Willard

A lyrical fantasy about a young New England maiden who has barricaded her home and heart behind a double row of Petunias. With Katie Bearden, Colby Davis, Evelyn Foley and George Bohmfalk www.shakescar.org
