The production, directed by Glenn T. Griffin, features Berry Newkrik as Whyndham Brandon, Justin Younts as Charles Granillo, Austin Vaccaro as Rupert Cadell, Alexander Gagne as Kenneth Raglan, Whitney Drury as Leila Arden, Don McManus as Sir Johnston Kentley, and Jennifer Quigley as Harriet Debenham.

ROPE tells the complex story of Wyndham Brandon and Charles Granillo, two brilliant young men who decided to murder their Oxford classmate, Ronald Kentley, as an intellectual exercise; they want to prove their superiority by committing the "perfect murder". After hiding the body in a large antique wooden chest, Brandon and Charles host a dinner party at their apartment, the guests begin to arrive. The guests, unaware of what has happened, include the victim's father Sir Johnstone Kentley, and aunt Mrs. Debenham. Also there is his girlfriend, Leila Arden and her former lover Kenneth Raglan. In a subtle move, Brandon uses the chest containing the body as a buffet for the food.

Queen City Theatre Company is a non-profit organization that exists to theatrically explore the human experience. QCTC wishes to present theatre that celebrates the many different races, religions, genders, and sexual orientations that exist in both Charlotte, NC
and the world. QCTC will strive to create theatre that not only entertains but enriches, educates and challenges our audience.
