Piedmont Players Theatre Announces Auditions for Youth Production '13,' 5/21-22

Piedmont Players Theatre (PPT) announces auditions for the youth production of "13," a grown-up story about growing up. Audition dates are May 21 & 22 in the Norvell Theater Auditorium. They will be held by appointment only. Public performance dates are July 12-15 & 20-22, 2012. "13" will be directed by Reid Leonard.

When his parents get divorced and he's forced to move from New York to a small town in Indiana, Evan Goldman just wants to make friends and survive the school year. Easier said than done! The star quarterback is threatening to ruin his life and his only friend, Patrice, won't talk to him. The school freak sees an opportunity for blackmail and someone is spreading the nastiest rumors. With an unforgettable rock score from Tony Award-Winning composer Jason Robert Brown, 13 is a hilarious, high-energy musical for all ages about discovering that cool is where you find it, and sometimes where you least expect it.

Auditions for 13 will be by appointment only. Auditions are open to all students who can read well. To schedule an audition time, call 704.633.5471. After scheduling your time, you will be emailed an audition form. Fill out the form and bring it with you to auditions.

Available dates and times: Tuesday, May 21 - 4pm (25 slots); Wednesday, May 22 - 4pm (25 slots).
