Flat Rock Playhouse to Present MUSIC ON THE ROCK, JR.

Flat Rock Playhouse, in conjunction with it's education program Studio 52, is proud to present this year's Apprentice Showcase as Music on the Rock Jr.: (Flat) Rockin' Through the Decades, which will be a collection of hits from the 1950s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s and today.

For two performances only, bring the whole family to see the Flat Rock Playhouse Apprentice Company perform top hits from the past 60 years! From Billy Haley to Bruno Mars, The Jackson 5 to Jason Mraz, Whitney Houston to One Direction, this show features all the songs that everyone in the family can enjoy! With guest choreography by How to Succeed... Trying and Gypsy cast members, Music on the Rock Jr.: (Flat) Rockin' Through the Decades has the charm of the Music on the Rock series with the flare of a Mainstage musical.

Music on the Rock Jr.: (Flat) Rockin' Through the Decades will be performed by the Flat Rock Playhouse Apprentice Company. The 2015 Flat Rock Playhouse Apprentice Company is comprised of 12 performance apprentices, who performed in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying and are currently working on Gypsy, and 4 non-performance apprentices who specialize in Development, Marketing, Production and Stage Management.

Music on the Rock Jr.: (Flat) Rockin' Through the Decades will be directed by Playhouse Company Manager and Apprentice Director, Katie Zanca, with Alex Shields serving as Music Director and Jessica Edwards as Stage Manager. Joining Zanca on the production team are the 2015 Flat Rock Playhouse Interns: Katie Fischer, Taylor Jeffries, Camille Lerner, Kurt Morgan, Laura Scheving, Abigail Tremblay and Ian Ward. Dennis C. Maulden, Resident Scenic Designer, also serves as an Apprentice Administrator.

The 2015 Apprentice Company is Zachary Bigelow, Lexi Carter, Jordy Diaz, Avery Draper, Lauren Garriott, Casey M. Klein, Dan Lusardi, Nick Morgan, Kelley Norman, Lindsay Patton, Zane Phillips, Nicole Sheehan, Jared Sheldon, Kelsee Sweigard, Zach Teague, and Alli Wilson.

Music on the Rock Jr.: (Flat) Rockin' Through the Decades is presented by the Flat Rock Playhouse Apprentice Company and the Studio 52 education program.

Music on the Rock Jr.: (Flat) Rockin' Through the Decades performs August 10th and 11th at 7pm on the Flat Rock Playhouse Clyde & Nina Allen Mainstage.
