CHANTE MOORE...BETTER THAN "All Right!"

Soulful Singer, Chante Moore

YOU TALKING ABOUT AN INCREDIBLE PERFORMER...multi-talented (singer, songwriter, author) Chante Moore, exceeded my expectations of a good concert. It was GREAT! I have not had this much fun at a concert in Charlotte, NC in a long while! Chante Moore is talented, personable, witty, transparent, and GORGEOUS. She looked amazing in that roaring twenties shimmy dress! And Lord, can she shimmy! AND THAT VOICE, Oh My! With the stained-glass windows decorum of the McGlohon Theatre as a backdrop, Chante's angelic, eight octave range voice set the atmosphere for an "electrifying evening" that jumpstarted our weekend with a BANG! I send much gratitude to Jazz N Soul Music Team, one of the sponsors of the show.

The opening artist, Kyle Jason, did a great job as the forerunner. He labeled his set Martini Swing - which he defined as "sophisticated; not stuffy!" His rendition of Jill Scott's Fools Gold was on point, followed by Smokey Robinson's Cruisin' and Guy's Let's Chill. He ended the set with one of his original songs, So Delicious.

Then, the moment we all were waiting for...Chante Moore entered gracefully like a beautiful swan on the stage. From the moment she entered... until the moment she exited...she delivered hit after hit and then some. Beginning with her 1992 hit, Love's Taken Over, and ending with her number one showstopper, Chante's Got A Man, Chante woo'ed and serenaded us with feel good music. And who could forget her empowering tune, It's Alright.

Chante' made one male fan's fantasy come true as she sat in his lap and serenaded him on stage. And then, she turned the McGlohon Theatre into a nightclub atmosphere with some upbeat tunes that had us all dancing in the aisles. We even did the line dance, The Wobble.

Ms. Moore left a lasting-glow in the McGlohon that could have extended throughout Uptown. Chante, you may not have a "man at home" but you have a "fan in Charlotte" for life. Keep "soaring high" and "reaching for the stars".
