A Midsummer Night's Dream at DreamWrights Center for Community Arts

DreamWrights Center for Community Arts is proud to present two versions of Shakespeare’s beloved comedy A Midsummer Night’s Dream: a one-hour production and a 30-minute youth performance featuring actors under the age of 12.

A story of order and disorder, reality and illusion, and love in all its chaos, A Midsummer Night’s Dream unfolds during the preparations for the Duke of Athens’ marriage to the Queen of the Amazons. The play follows a tangle of young lovers whose hearts are turned upside down by mischievous fairies and a misplaced love potion, while a group of enthusiastic craftsmen rehearse a play for the royal wedding—leading to one of theatre’s most beloved “plays within a play.”

Adapted from the Royal Shakespeare Company version designed for schools and community productions, this lively and accessible take blends music, magic, and mayhem for an enchanting theatrical experience.

The gallery and lobby open one hour before the performance. Theatre doors open 30 minutes prior to curtain. Refreshments are available before the show and during intermission. Free off-street parking is available.
