The Flock: Jo's Dream at Bannerman Castle Trust

An immersive self-guided tour experience on Bannerman's Island created by Skyla Schreter Dance Company, based on Richard Bach's novel Jonathan Livingston Seagull. Visitors board the tour boat Estuary Steward from Beacon, NY, then explore the island using an illustrated map while experiencing sound and light installations designed by creative director Aaron Sanders. The story follows a young seagull named Jo who breaks from her Flock's traditions to pursue flight as an art form and forge her own path. Attendees become characters in the story rather than observers, journeying through waypoints with distinct soundscapes and visual elements.
