Disco diva Deloris Van Cartier finds herself in protective custody after witnessing a murder, only to end up in perhaps the most effective hideout of all – a convent, disguised as a nun. After struggling to adapt to her new lifestyle, Deloris inspires a new rhythm in the convent choir and bonds with her community. Deloris learns about herself, her higher purpose, and forms meaningful connections with the other nuns – which is especially useful when her cover is blown and it is up to their sisterhood to protect her.
