STISSING CENTER PRESENTS DAVID SIMPATICO'S PG-13: AN EVENING OF SEVEN OUTRAGEOUS SHORT COMEDIES

The Stissing Center presents a reading of PG-13, an evening of seven wildly theatrical short comedies by award-winning playwright and librettist David Simpatico, to be presented in Pine Plains on September 11.

Known for creating emotionally charged, theatrically daring work that ranges from opera and musical theatre to comedy and satire, Simpatico turns his unmistakable comic voice loose on beauty queens, talent-show contestants, office workers, drag queens, and dreamers—all pursuing impossible ideals with hilarious determination. Fast-paced, fearless, and packed with unforgettable characters, PG-13 celebrates the beautiful absurdity of American life with laughter, heart, and razor-sharp wit.

The production features Sam Eisenbaum, Arriella Guidubaldi, Erin Hebert and Irving Zuniga.

Simpatico's works include The Life and Death(s) of Alan Turing (Chicago Opera Theater), The Screams of Kitty Genovese(Jonathan Larson Award), Disney's stage adaptation of High School Musical, and the musical adaptation of Twelve Angry Men.
