Paramount Center for the Arts Names New Executive Director

By: Oct. 06, 2011

The Board of Directors for the Paramount Center for the Arts (PCA) in Peekskill announced today that Lisa Reiss has been appointed as the organization's new Executive Director.

Ms. Reiss joins the Paramount with over 30 years experience in the live event industry. She holds a BFA Degree from Penn State University. She entered the entertainment industry as an Associate Manager for various entertainers, including Willie Nelson and Kris Kristofferson. As her career progressed, she moved into venue and arts center management as Executive Director of the Charles Ives Center for the Arts in Danbury, CT and, most recently as Executive Director of TIPAF at the Clayton Opera House in Clayton, NY. In addition, Lisa has been the owner/operator of Pearl Productions, a music industry consulting and booking agency located in Brookfield, CT.

PCA Board President, Vincent C. Vesce, said, "We are very pleased to have someone with Lisa's experience join the Paramount. During her years in the business, she has been directly involved with the many different aspects of running a venue such as ours and she has developed a keen understanding of what it takes to successfully run a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the arts. We have great confidence in her ability which is a result of the positive track record she has recorded throughout her career. In addition, she comes to us with some hands on experience with the Paramount by already having presented acts on our stage with her Production Company over the past few years."

Mr. Vesce said that Ms. Reiss will assume her position at the Paramount on a full time basis before the end of the month.
