Theatre summer camp in East Haven, CT
New Haven Academy of Performing Arts is a performing arts school at 597 Main Street in East Haven, Connecticut, operating since 2013 in a 7,500 square foot facility with its own theater, recording and lighting equipment. Year round it offers private and group instruction in voice, piano, guitar, bass, ukulele, drums, rock band, acting, musical theatre and dance for children through adults, including Spanish-language lessons. Its summer musical theatre program is divided into Small Stars for younger campers, running two-week sessions from 9am to 3pm, and Broadway Bound for teens, running a four-week session from 9am to 5pm. Each session culminates in a full production; 2026 titles include Frozen Jr. and Finding Nemo Jr. Students are trained by industry professionals in acting, singing and dance.
