The 2025 Banff International String Quartet Competition will showcase ten exceptional quartets from Europe, Asia, and North America at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity from August 25-31, 2025. This highly regarded event, led by Barry Shiffman, offers quartets a chance to compete for substantial prizes and career-advancing opportunities. Diverse participants include groups like the Arete Quartet from Seoul and the Cong Quartet from Hong Kong, representing a global array of talent. The competition features multiple rounds and culminates in a final round where the top three quartets will perform their curated programs.
