NOISES OFF to Play at Theatre: Calgary
Are you in the mood for a good laugh and some classic stage gags and intended mishaps? Make your way to Theatre: Calgary as they present Noises Off Sept. 10 through Oct. 5, 2019.
What typically goes on behind the scenes? In Noises Off, witness a group of actors humorously navigate their rehearsal just hours before performing British sex comedy "Nothing On."
This is an exhilarating farce with banter that will have you laughing until it hurts and wondering if you've ever seen so many sardines. Often referred to as one of the best farces ever written, Noises Off is witty and elegant, striking comedic-gold with unlimited energy and precise timing.
When the play debuted on the West End in 1982, it was awarded the Olivier Award for "Best Play" and the London Evening Standard Award for "Best Comedy."
Mark Bellamy directs Theatre: Calgary's production with Anton De Groot as the set and lighting designer and Deitra Kalyn as the costume designer.
