Written by Ellen Grace Diehl, Singin’ in a Rainstorm returns to NYC after taking home Best Actress, Best Singer, and Best Production Short at last year’s New York Theatre Festival, and successful runs at both 54 Below and the Tony Award®-winning Cleveland Play House.

Equal parts deliciously entertaining and surprisingly moving, Debbie tells tales of her fraught romantic history and her relationship with daughter Carrie Fisher, but as she waltzes her way through a light comedy performance, we discover there’s much more to this Hollywood icon than meets the eye. Beautifully accompanied and music directed by TGR42 veteran Aidan S. Wells, with beloved songs like “Good Mornin’,” “I Ain’t Down Yet,” “Tammy,” and, of course, “Singin’ in the Rain,” Lani (National tours: Jagged Little Pill, Chicago, 42nd St) returns to The Green Room 42 in this touching, tap-dancing, and triumphant tribute to the fearlessly unsinkable Debbie Reynolds.
