Broadway’s beloved Lee Roy Reams reminisces in story and song about his up-close-and-personal relationship with stage and screen legend Lauren Bacall. He knew, worked with, and loved Bacall. But she was still Betty Joan Perske from the Bronx when they were alone. Now the star-studded inside scoop! This captivating performance is part of the Hamptons Summer Songbook by the Sea series. This show promises an engaging exploration of iconic songs and storytelling, offering an intimate setting for audiences to connect with the music and the performer. The concert takes place at LTV Studios in East Hampton on July 11, 2025, showcasing the talent and artistry that defines this celebrated music series.

Lee Roy Reams

Vocalist
Kentucky-born, openly gay, a Tony-nominated star of the original 42nd Street, Reams was the first male actor to play openly gay in a Broadway musical, Applause, starring Bacall. He was also the first American male to play the title role in a production of Hello, Dolly! A cowboy in Oklahoma!, an Olympic athlete in Lorelei, and a candelabra in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, he wore $10,000 dresses in La Cage aux Folles, Victor/Victoria, and The Producers. His TV, concert & cabaret appearances have taken him worldwide and four times to the White House.


Alexz Rybeck

Music Director / Pianist
ALEX RYBECK is an arranger, pianist, composer, and music director who has worked on Broadway (MERRILY WE ROLL ALONG, GRAND HOTEL), and Off (REALLY ROSIE, WINGS) but is perhaps best known for his work in cabarets, concert halls, and on recordings. He has arranged nearly every solo CD by Jeff Harnar, and his most recent CD with Liz Callaway (“To Steve With Love”), a tribute to Sondheim, was nominated for a 2023 Grammy. Winner of numerous MAC and Bistro Awards, he has worked with such stars as Eartha Kitt, Jane Olivor, Faith Prince, Donna McKechnie, Liz and Ann Hampton Callaway, Karen Akers, Lee Roy Reams, Amanda McBroom, Sally Mayes, Tovah Feldshuh, and many more. His original songs have been sung by the likes of Steve Ross, Nancy LaMott, Marni Nixon, and Andrea Marcovicci. This marks his third season at LTV.
