MAMAWA Productions presents MATTHEW MARTIN WARD in WHAT I LOVE! MATTHEW MARTIN WARD, selected as one of the Top Cabaret Artists of 2024 by Jacqueline Parker of Times Square Chronicles, returns to Don't Tell Mama on THURSDAYS, FEBRUARY 6 & MARCH 13 at 7:00 PM. After 50 years in the business, beloved Singer, Songwriter and Musical Director MATTHEW MARTIN WARD made his SOLO CABARET DEBUT at Don’t Tell Mama on September 14, followed by performances on October 13 and December 4. Matthew began playing the piano at 2½ years old, made local TV appearances in Milwaukee at 11, appeared with the Milwaukee Symphony at 13, and has been gigging non-stop since college. Join Matthew as he performs a few original tunes, some covers, selections from the American Songbook, special arrangements and, of course, a few of his own eclectic choices. Directed by GEOFFREY STONER, this is a special, critically-acclaimed show, celebrating a man and his music! "The afternoon invoked the golden days when talents such as Bobby Short and John Wallowitch held forth at the piano." ~ Cabaret Scenes "...a satisfying show from a seasoned pro venturing into headlining as a solo vocalist. I applaud Ward’s adventurousness, as well as his gracious manner, and I hope this won’t be just a one-time thing." ~ Bistro Bits "Think John Wallowitch, Charles DeForest, Steve Ross et al. He’s a charmer with several tricks up his sleeve." ~ Times Square Chronicles DON'T TELL MAMA, 343 W 46th St, NYC, https://donttellmamanyc.com/ THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 6 at 7:00 PM (doors open at 6:15 PM) https://shows.donttellmamanyc.com/8840-matthew-martin-ward-what-i-love-2-6-25 THURSDAY, MARCH 13 at 7:00 PM (doors open at 6:15 PM) https://shows.donttellmamanyc.com/8841-matthew-martin-ward-what-i-love-3-13-25 $20 cover + $20 minimum (must include 2 drinks) per person
