Photos: Meet the Cast - VILLAIN: DEBLANKS' Monthly Shenanigans Continue in December
By: BWW News Desk
Laugh your (BODY PART)_____ off as "Brenda Braxton presents Villain: DeBlanks" continues December 6, and performs the first Sunday of each month at 7:30pm at The Triad NYC. A portion of proceeds from each performance will benefit the Humane Society of New York. Scroll down to meet the December lineup of stars!
Hailed as an "off-the-hook inclusive comedy...with big laughs" by KABC-LA, "Villain: DeBlanks" amazing December 6 cast includes the gloriously funny Geneva Carr (currently on Broadway in "Hand to God"), wickedly clever Tony-winner Daisy Eagan ("Secret Garden"), the uniquely delightful Lauren Elder ("Sideshow," "HAIR"), multi-talented award-winning composer/lyricist Bobby Cronin ("Mary and Max," "(un)Lucky in Love"), hilarious and handsome Hunter Ryan Herdlicka (current revival of "Once Upon A Mattress," "A Little Night Music"), and inveterate reviewer, former president of the Drama Desk Awards, and champion of the theater, Peter Filichia.
A Time Out NY Critics' Pick written by Billy Mitchell, "Villain: DeBlanks" is the uproarious improvisational comedy where the cast says words you put in their mouths. The audience provides nouns, adjectives, verbs, etc. (the wilder, the better), and the actors provide the laughs -- uncensored and unrehearsed -- as they enact the story of Philip DeBlanks' untimely demise. It's "Clue" meets adult "Mad Libs," and it's never the same show twice!
After appearing in three benefit performances of "Villian DeBlanks," Brenda Braxton is delighted to announce this periodic run currently scheduled for six months -- November through April -- starring some of the funniest people in New York. Ms. Braxton will join the show in April following her run in "AfterMidnight" aboard Norwegian Escape.
Upcoming casts include Ann Harada, Angela Robinson, Nick Cearley, Patrick Page, Annaleigh Ashford, Lesli Margherita, Paige Davis, Erik Liberman, Randy Graff, Trent Armand Kendall and more (pending availability).
"Brenda Braxton presents Villain: DeBlanks" plays The Triad (158 W 72nd St.) on Sundays: Dec. 6, Jan. 3, Feb. 7, March 6 & April 3 at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $25, and there is a 2-drink minimum. For more information, visit villaindeblanks.com.
Presented in association with La Vie Productions/R.Erin Craig.
