Megan Hilty, Julia Murney, Joe Iconis and more will be part of "Rob Rokicki and Friends" at The Cutting Room On August 29. An award-winning songwriter and performer, Rob writes musicals and songs described by Broadway Spotted as "a soulful swirl of rock and comedy...urgent songs about neurotic girls, wild odes to ape-like creatures, and so much more." Fred Ebb winner Adam Gwon says, "Rob's songs live at that perfect intersection of musical theater and radio rock -- these are characters that get you in the gut, and that you want to listen to over and over again."

Rob is the composer/lyricist for the award-winning shows Love, NY and Strange Tails with collaborator Michael Ruby. Other shows include Relativity (also with Ruby), Samson's Fire, andMartha and ME, as well as film and television projects. He is an alum of the BMI musical theatre writing workshop. Broadway performers have sung his songs throughout New York and benefits across the country. Rob is currently working on the graphic novel/rock album Monstersongs and is working with playwright Joe Tracz on adapting The Lightning Thief, based on the popular Percy Jackson series for TheatreWorks USA. The concert will be a celebration of new material, along with some favorites from his album, "I'm Ready" which was released in late 2012 on Great White Wax records and itunes.
