Julie Gold, the New York songwriter best known for Bette Midler's version of her Grammy Award winner FROM A DISTANCE is celebrating her new CD entitled LOVE IS LOVE IS LOVE at the Metropolitan Room, May 2nd at 7:00 p.m. The show will feature songs from this new collection, along with old favorites. Julie will be joined by the talented and versatile Emily Bindiger and Margaret Dorn. Emily Bindiger is also the producer of LOVE IS LOVE IS LOVE. Many performers have recorded Ms. Gold's songs including Nanci Griffith (the first to record "From A Distance"), Patti LaBelle, Patti LuPone, Lea Salonga, Andrea Marcovicci, Carol Woods, Sinead O'Connor and Kathie Lee Gifford. Julie has been honored with a Richard Rodgers Award, a 7-time Mac (Manhattan Association of Caberets) Award, a Bistro Award, and a New York Music Award.
