Goku suffers heart disease complications while battling against Android 19, which render him incapable of continuing. After taking special pills that Trunks had brought to him from the future, Goku finds himself completely cured. Later the fateful Cell Game takes place, but Goku suddenly accepts defeat and afterwards warps himself to Planet Kaio, taking the exploding Cell with him.
